It's also good because you can heal all of your injuries when you go there. hope this helps!|||1. It's not solely a matter of 'how often' but more of how good the members like your character. Give them presents / gifts you find or purchase on your adventures. Here is a list of what party member should get what gift: http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Gift
Also you should do special quests they ask you to at some time for additional approval. Depending on your decisions in the game some of your party members might also treat you different.
