Based on quality and price...
I went to the Dell homepage and customized two laptops which have basically all of what I *think* I would need. I'm going to be playing games like League of Legends, and CoD but want to be sure I would be able to play games like WoW or Dragon Age Origins at reasonable settings.
Here are the specs of the two I designed:
first one is cheaper ($730) and has a not-as-great graphics card:
Base Inspiron 15R
Processor New 2010 Intel庐 Core鈩?i5-460M (2.53Ghz / up to SC 2.8GHz / 3M)
Memory + HDD 4GB DDR3 Shared Dual Channel Memory + 500GB 5400RPM HDD
LCD Panel 15.6" High Definition (720p) LED Display with TrueLife鈩?br>
Video Card ATI Mobility Radeon鈩?HD550v, 64-Bit, 1GB, DDR3
second one is more expensive ($930) with a better graphics card:
XPS 15 XPS 15
Processor Intel庐 Core鈩?i5-460M (2.53GHz, 4 threads, turbo boost up to 2.8GHz, 3M cache)
Memory 4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR3 Memory
Video Card NVIDIA庐 GeForce庐 GT 420M 1GB graphics with Optimus
Hard Drive 500GB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive
Thanks so much in advance. I'm trying to be sure I get what I need and don't want to over/under spend.|||Really it depends on what COD it is... all of the other games would run fine on the cheaper one, but if you were to run MW2 or Black Ops you may not be able to run in really good settings. (It would only look very smooth if ran on minimum settings.) Really the graphics cards aren't that much different and the processors are both great same with the hard drive space the only MAJOR difference between the to is the RAM which you only really use if you multitask a lot.
-Jeremy|||The second one is more suited towards your needs, but i would just like to suggest upgrading the graphics card to a GTS450 at LEAST, that is if you would like to play all your games in high quality, but other than that i think it should be good.|||Dells are **** dont buy it go which hp, toshiba, for IBM
