Will someone who has a good knowledge of computer gaming awnser a few questions for me please?

I've always been into MMO's but i've recentely figured out that a high performance gaming PC domincates on games compared to consoles? I really enjoy using my Xbox 360 controller mostly because i'm so used to using it like anyone else so could I somehow use it with a PC? Also what are the advantage's to playing FPS, and RPG's like CoD, Crysis 2, Dragon Age 2, and Dues Ex Human Revolution on a high performance gaming PC rather than an Xbox 360 or a Playstation 3? Any extra information you would like to add would be greatly appreciated, and thanks for taking your time to help out some random person, I really mean that.|||Yes, you can map keyboard controls to a control pad ( or any other external device ) with the right software to underpin your hardware.

That flexibility ( being able to use any proprietary software you like ) is in itself is the first advantage of PC gaming. Besides that, PCs as a whole have the potential to have massively more processing power ( in orders of magnitude ) than that of even next gen gaming consoles. because consoles are much more closed systems.

eg:Sony and Microsoft decide how much processing power goes into your playstation/Xbox. changing it even voids your warranty. You decide what goes into your computer.

Besides that there's the community driven aspects of PC gaming ( mods, forums etc ) and ease of use for other functions ( ever tried browsing the web on a wii? awkward as anything )

Also, although you clearly won't benifit from it, using a mouse for some games raises the margin for skill significantly. modern warfare for example. the difference between the best and worst players via PC is much larger than that same difference via Xbox. Mostly because there's much more skill required to play with a mouse ( but that's just like... my opinion, man )

Buuut, I'm sure both sides have their merits. I just prefer using a PC. Mostly because as a computer science student, i have to have a powerful machine anyway, so i might as well us it for games too, eh?

I guess if I had a tiny net-book or something an Xbox would be more appealing.|||Using 360 controller with PC

-This should definately answer this question ** http://www.brighthub.com/video-games/pc/鈥?/a> **

Advantage PC vs Console

- I find that while you can aim a bit better and the graphics can be more stunning, the controls are further spaced out and there is a greater chance of pressing the wrong button in a critical moment.
