Computer for video editing?

I need to build a low and high end computer for video editing for an assignment. One of the marking categories is compatibility, which I'm unsure of in this build.

High End Build is:

Motherboard: Gigabyte G1-Sniper ATX Motherboard

CPU: Intel Core i7 990X

Memory: Corsair CMX12GX3M3A2000C9 12GB (3x4GB) DDR3

Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 580 3GB

Primary Hard Drive: OCZ Vertex 2 3.5in 120GB SSD

Secondary Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB WD2002FAEX

Optical Drive: ASUS DRW-24B3LT 24X DVDRW LightScribe

Sound Card: ASUS Xonar HDAV1.3 鈥?Unsure if a sound card is needed, will the motherboards integrated sound be enough?

Case: Antec Dark Fleet DF-10 Case

Power supply: Corsair AX750 Gold Power Supply

Mouse: Gigabyte GHOST M8000X Gaming Mouse

Keyboard: Razer Dragon Age 2 Black Widow Ultimate Mechanical Keyboard

Monitor: Samsung MD230X3 Multi-Display 3x23inch cPVA Panels

Speakers: Logitech Z906 THX 5.1 Speaker System

Operating system: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64bit with SP1 OEM

So that's it. Will all that work with each other? Do you have a suggestion?

Thanks. :)|||Yes, it's all completely compatible. Socket LGA 1366 motherboard and processor (6-core), triple channel DDR3 memory. 64-bit OS to run the 12 GB RAM effectively.

The 750W power supply is good for a single GTX 580, though it wouldn't handle a second one in SLI mode. That's fine, because unless your video software takes major advantage of CUDA or OpenGL co-processing, the 580 is way overkill for a video editing system (great for gaming, though).

For video editing, the onboard audio is more than sufficient, as very few camcorders record in anything better than stereo.

The 990X beats out the newer i7-2600K Sandy Bridge processor by 16% or so in video processing. Of course it costs 3x as much, so I only recommend the 990X if price is not a concern.|||The mother board and i7 processor are compatible.
