Thanks. :)|||Yes, it's all completely compatible. Socket LGA 1366 motherboard and processor (6-core), triple channel DDR3 memory. 64-bit OS to run the 12 GB RAM effectively.
The 750W power supply is good for a single GTX 580, though it wouldn't handle a second one in SLI mode. That's fine, because unless your video software takes major advantage of CUDA or OpenGL co-processing, the 580 is way overkill for a video editing system (great for gaming, though).
For video editing, the onboard audio is more than sufficient, as very few camcorders record in anything better than stereo.
The 990X beats out the newer i7-2600K Sandy Bridge processor by 16% or so in video processing. Of course it costs 3x as much, so I only recommend the 990X if price is not a concern.|||The mother board and i7 processor are compatible.
