what the hell is this? every game i've gotten over the past several years is just garbage and yet ppl keep claiming they're among the best games ever made. seriously here, there's flash games all over the internet that are more fun than dragon age origins. wtf?
WHY THE HELL DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING TO ME I'M ****** SICK OF WASTING $50 ON GAMES THAT ARE ABSOLUTE ****.|||Because some people like the types of games that you apparently don't.
I'd suggest, to avoid being disappointed in the future, trying to rent or borrow games before buying them. Blockbuster usually has the popular ones, and Gamefly.com rents games without a due date.|||Well reviews are are opinion based so don't pay attention to them. Also you should check out gamespot reviews on youtube they are very detailed review. They don't give games a number for how good a game is they tell you how it is. Also you should rent a game. Try it out if you don't like it don't buy it. Hopefully this helped.|||there OPINION is that its good and your OPINION is that its bad all about OPINION'S.|||why buy them in the first place? buy games when u're sure how its gonna turn out to be. watch gameplays and stuff cuz trailers can be deceiving|||I don't listen to reviewers anymore.
Some idiot was giving Half-Life 2 Lost Coast (a cut out mission from Half-Life 2 that was so close to being put into the game it was released for free) a bunch of crap for being short, and to similar to Half-Life 2.
Obviously the guy is retarded. A level from a game being similar to other levels in the same game? Oh my, we must call the police, because I am sure this is going to be a traumatic experience for some people.
And the fact is, the level wasn't even made for playing, it was made to show how good the Source engine has become.
But yep, reviewers don't help, you just gotta buy games that look good to you, and of course, you'll always end up getting a let down.|||I use to have the same problem before I found YouTube. Now If i see a game that seems interesting but I am unsure.. I will wait a few days to a week when the games comes out and watch that games gameplay and walkthroughs.. believe me i seen alot of games that game developers pay to create hype then when it comes out and I watch the walthroughs it crap...
Also if you do buy a game Amazon is the best place to purchase games online.. no one can touch their prices.. not even the All Mighty Walmart.|||That is just your opinion to be honest. People have certain tastes for games and a majority agree that those games are actually great. (Dragon Age Origins was a fun game in my opinion.)
What you need to do is stop looking at games that have good reviews and just pick games that you think you will actually enjoy. For example, if a person seriously hates shooting games, you wouldn't see them pick up Call of Duty JUST because it has good reviews...
Be smarter about it and just try the genres you like.|||lol umad?
That's your opinion. I happened to think Dawn of War 2 was a great coop game, and Dragon Age: Origins was a great successor to Baldur's Gate (before it went to crap with DA2)
Sure some games are too well received for their own good (Call of Duty, Halo, even Uncharted) I'd say DoW2's reception was good, but not universal praise compared to others.
And why do you care? Why do you claim to keep "wasting 50$" on bad games? Why haven't you learned your lesson and thought ahead, look into games deeper, try demos, watch gameplay trailers, watch in-depth reviews by critics (not reviewers) and so on? There's enough knowledge out there to help you make a decision instead of blindly throwing cash down on a game and getting mad about it.
Look into games more or deal with it. This is exactly the reason why I don't pay attention to nebulous review scores given by bad review websites and draw my own conclusions based on things I've seen and questions I asked regular players who played the game before I did on forums. It's your own fault for not making the effort to look into these games more.
